Tester Trouble Shooting
All SCI testers have a remote interlock feature designed to provide you with added safety. This feature utilizes a set of contacts that must be closed in order for the tester to enable output voltage. To enable High Voltage output, ensure your Signal Input Connector is plugged in to the rear panel of the tester. If you're using interlocked DUT Enclosures and the tester displays the “Interlock is Open” error either your test enclosure is open or the Interlock disable connector is not properly connected.
RMA
An RMA is a Return Merchandise Authorization. We use the RMA process to provide you with the best service and support. After filling out our RMA form, you will receive a custom RMA number which will help us both identify your tester.

Electrical Safety Testing
A Hipot Test or Dielectric Withstand Test is used to stress the insulation of a product far beyond what it would encounter during normal operation. High voltage is applied from the mains-input lines to the chassis of the product in order to look for insulation breakdown. The Hipot Test can be performed using either an AC or a DC voltage.
The Ground Continuity test is used to determine if the safety ground circuit of a product is continuous and intact. A low voltage is applied from the chassis of the product to the ground pin to determine if the ground circuit is continuous.
The Ground Bond test is used to verify that the ground conductor of a product has a low enough impedance to handle any fault current to ground. High current flows from the ground pin of the product's line cord and through the chassis in order to determine if the cabling is capable of handling excessive current flow should a fault occur.
An Insulation Resistance test is used to verify the resistance of a product’s insulation by applying a DC voltage and measuring the resulting leakage current.
